In the case of gazetted posts for the purpose of promotion through performance evaluation, the educational qualification as per sub-rule (3) of rule 81 of the regulation and in the case of non-gazetted posts, the prescribed educational qualification will be required for entry into the respective posts. However, in the case of an employee who is in a group at the time of commencement of these rules, when he enters such a group, the educational qualification specified in accordance with the prevailing law shall be considered as the minimum educational qualification for the purpose of this rule.
